The CIC-ITs. What for ? Who for ?
Located in the hospitals (Centres Hospitaliers Universitaires - CHU), right next to the clinical field of operations, the CIC-ITs are open to every company or laboratory needing highly upstream counselling for their innovation project, technical tools adapted to their projects, and methodological support in their evaluation process. They all include world-known clinical teams who have a strong experience in national and international multi-centre studies.
Control of the Project Process
The CIC-ITs help you anticipate the overall process that will lead to the project success – including important aspects such as preliminary evaluation protocols, complying to regulations and estimating related costs. They also act as incubators in partnership with the technology parks.
A Complementary Network
The CIC-ITs work on complementary topics. Garches focuses on motor disability compensation devices, Bordeaux on biomaterials, Rennes on implantable cardiac prosthesis and monitoring systems, Grenoble on computer-assisted surgery, Besançon on microtechniques, Lille on topics related to eHealth, Tours on ultrasound and radiopharmaceuticals, Nancy on Magnetic Resonance Imaging. They respond to the need for positioning with regards to progressing topics, with promising perspectives.
They are part of the global CIC framework, which comes under the responsability of the Institut Thématique Santé Publique (Public Health Thematic Institute) and constitute one of the tools of the ITS (Institut thématique multi-organisme Technologies pour la Santé - Multi-body Thematic Institute for Health Technologies). At the local level, they work under partnerships between hospitals, universities and research institutes (Inserm, CNRS, etc.).
You will find on this website the details of their representatives. Please do not hesitate to contact them if you need support for your projects.
